Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Tezu - I is the oldest, symbol of progressive and quality education in the Lohit District. The school was established in the year 1952, upgraded to Middle school in the year 1955 to Secondary level in the year 1958 with Assam Board and in the year 1973, from Secondary level to Higher Secondary level. The school is affiliated to CBSE with affiliation no. 2220002 and school no. 37087(New) / 05808(Old).The school consisting of class 9 to 12 and running 3(three) streams: Humanities, Commerce and Science. It has Artificial Intelligence Lab, Smart Classroom and Computer Lab including Physics, Chemistry and Biology Laboratory.
